Membership

If the Bible is the cornerstone of our church, then membership is the cement that holds us all together. Both Christ and Paul pointed us toward membership for our encouragement, our protection, and our instruction. We seek to carry out this vision through our four-step process by which to join Crosspoint Church.

Discovering Crosspoint– All prospective members must attend our Discovering Crosspoint class. There, you will learn:

  • What we Believe
  • The Meaning of Membership
  • Crosspoint’s History
  • Life as a Church

Discovering Crosspoint is structured as a one-day mini-retreat held in room 150 at Crosspoint and is offered on Sundays nine times per year.  Session I meets from 8:45 – 10:30am, and Session II follows from 5:00 – 7:30pm.  Breakfast, Dinner, and childcare are provided.

HOW TO JOIN

Discovering Crosspoint - Upon completion of Discovering Crosspoint, participants are able but not obligated to sign and submit Crosspoint’s Church covenant and commitment card.  Upon receipt of this, we schedule a membership interview between the prospective member and a member of the church staff, which is the second step of the membership process.

Membership Interview– In a 45 minute meeting, the prospective member meets with a staff member to have opportunity to ask any other questions about Crosspoint and share about his journey to become a follower of Christ.

Elder Affirmation– At a regularly scheduled elders’ meeting, the interviewer will review the applicant’s testimony with the elders. Upon receiving their collective approval, the candidate will be notified and proceed to the next step: congregational recognition

Congregational Recognition – The culmination of the membership process is the presentation of new members before the congregation in our Sunday morning worship gathering.
